Practical AI Minor

The IDS Minor in Practical AI is for students who wish to build a solid foundation in the uses of and ethical considerations around AI technologies and applications. Whether pursuing careers in healthcare, education, government, art, business or any other field, students will find this program invaluable in preparing them for the increasingly AI-infused workforce.

The minor is open to all students in any major at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Coursework in the Practical AI Minor is designed to be accessible to all students with an interest in the subject. Students do not have to have a background in computer programming; students interested in AI programming and design are invited to explore the Artificial Intelligence minor in the College of Engineering.
